RAVENS IN THE COMMUNITY

2013

The Columbia Ravens boys and girls teamed up to give back this holiday season. Together, we donated thousands of dollars worth of food, essentials and funds to the Howard County Food Bank, the Domestic Violence Center of Howard County, Elkridge Food Bank, Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center and the Ronald McDonald House. Basketball brought these kids together, but it's giving back to the community that keeps the Columbia Ravens Basketball program going strong. Congratulations and a heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated.

2012

The Columbia Ravens boys and girls raised enough money to purchase Thanksgiving meals for many local families. They also sponsored the same families during the Christmas holiday by giving multiple gifts to each family member.

2010

The Columbia Ravens again this year took timeout of their busy schedules to help the less fortunate. Several families were fed during the the Holidays. They also visited troops returning home in December.

2008

The Columbia Ravens again this year took timeout of their busy schedules to help the less fortunate. Several families were fed during the Thanksgiving Holiday and the Columbia Ravens are currently working on helping out with Christmas wishes as well.

2007

With the busy schedule of practices and games, the Columbia Ravens still found the time to help the less fortunate during Thanksgiving and Christmas and to support our troops during the holiday season. Teams joined together to package Thanksgiving dinners to provide for local families. At Christmas time the Ravens became Secret Santa's for a number of needy families in the area as well.

Ed O'Malley's 14U Girls put together stockings for five member's of the MD National Guard from Catonsville currently serving in Iraq. They included their team picture, candy, snacks, toiletries, DVD's and more. They received a response back from one of the member's of the Guard.

Dear Ed,
Thank you so much for the package, I can't begin to explain how appreciative everyone here was. I am giving them your email address because they all wanted to write back. Please keep in touch.
Matt
